The Story Behind 4D Feng Shui®

For thousands of years, Classical Feng Shui has provided sophisticated methods for understanding the relationship between people, space and time.

It teaches us how to analyse orientation, landforms, environmental cycles and the interaction between people and the places they inhabit.

Yet throughout more than twenty years of consulting, teaching and analysing hundreds of residential, commercial and hospitality projects, one question continued to emerge:

Why do some spaces simply feel better than others?

Why I Created the 4th Dimension?

These responses influence how we live, work, heal and connect, yet they are rarely evaluated in a structured way.

That question became the foundation of 4D Feng Shui®.

The Fourth Dimension

Classical Feng Shui already examines three essential dimensions:

Space — the physical qualities of the built environment.

Time — changing environmental cycles and temporal influences.

People — the relationship between an individual's characteristics and the spaces they occupy.

The fourth dimension introduces another perspective:

Human Experience

It examines how space influences the way people feel, perceive and behave.

Light.
Proportion.
Balance.
Movement.
Materiality.
Colour.
Texture.
Visual order.

Together, these elements shape our experience of a place long before we consciously analyse it.

The fourth dimension doesn't change Classical Feng Shui—it expands the way we observe and evaluate the human experience within space.

It provides a complementary framework that helps us understand not only how a space works, but also how it feels to the people living and working within it.

Not only according to Feng Shui principles—but according to the people experiencing them.

Some spaces feel calm.
Others feel stressful.
Some encourage focus.
Others create distraction.
Some naturally invite people to stay.
Others make them want to leave.

Great spaces are not defined only by how they look.
They are defined by how they make people feel.
4D Feng Shui® is an invitation to observe both.
